PMR & Accessibility

Our current situation regarding the reception of people with reduced mobility

At Château de La Seigne, we place great importance on providing a warm and personalized welcome to all our guests. It is with regret that we must inform you that our establishment is currently unable to optimally accommodate people with reduced mobility.

The reasons for this limitation

Our castle, rich in history and character, has several architectural features that pose accessibility challenges:

  • Preserved historical structure: As an old building, the castle retains its original architecture with many staircases, differences in levels and narrow passages which we cannot modify due to heritage constraints.

  • Space configuration: Our rooms and cottages are spread over several floors without a lift, and the exterior access includes steps and paths not suitable for wheelchairs.

  • Traditional bathrooms: Our sanitary facilities do not have the necessary features (grab bars, walk-in showers) to guarantee comfort and safety.

Our commitment to the future

Although we cannot currently accommodate people with reduced mobility under optimal conditions, we want to assure you that:

  • We are actively studying possibilities for future developments that are compatible with the preservation of heritage.

We thank you for your understanding and hope to have the pleasure of welcoming you in suitable conditions in the future.
