
General Terms and Conditions of Sale
1. Purpose
These General Terms and Conditions of Sale (GTC) apply to all bookings made at Château de La Seigne. They govern the terms and conditions of booking, payment, cancellation and use of the premises in accordance with French law.
2. Booking
The booking is considered final upon receipt of: written confirmation from Château de La Seigne, payment of the required deposit, acceptance of these GTC by the customer.
3. Rates
Rates are displayed in euros, including all taxes, and may vary depending on: the period, the number of people,
the services or options chosen. Tourist tax is charged as a supplement, in accordance with the rules in force in the municipality.
4. Payment
A deposit of 30% of the total amount is required to confirm the booking.
The balance must be paid on arrival or departure, as the customer wishes.
The following payment methods are accepted: bank transfer, credit card or payment via a secure platform.
5. Security deposit
A security deposit of €250 for the chapel cottage and €400 for the manager's cottage is required on arrival.
It will be refunded within a maximum of 7 days after departure, less any damages.
6. Cancellation
Cancellation by the guest
Up to 7 days before arrival for rooms and 30 days before arrival for cottages: full refund.
From 30 to 15 days: 50% refund.
Less than 7 days for rooms and 15 days: no refund.
Cancellation by Le Château de La Seigne
If it is impossible to honour the reservation, the customer will be informed promptly and fully refunded.
7. Arrival and departure
Arrival: between 1:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m.
Departure: before 11:00 a.m.
Any stay beginning or ending outside these hours must be agreed in advance.
8. Use of the premises
The customer undertakes to: respect the premises, the spirit of the château and the peaceful surroundings, use the facilities in accordance with their intended purpose, not exceed the maximum capacity indicated at the time of booking.
Undeclared parties and celebrations are strictly prohibited.
The Château de La Seigne is non-smoking (designated outdoor areas are available).
9. Liability
Château de La Seigne cannot be held liable for: loss or theft of personal belongings, accidents resulting from improper use of equipment, external events (power cuts, bad weather).
The customer is liable for any damage caused during their stay.
10. Animals
Animals are not accepted, except by prior exceptional agreement.
11. Insurance
The customer must have civil liability insurance.
Château de La Seigne is insured for its accommodation activity, in accordance with French legislation.
12. Personal data
The information collected is used for the administrative management of the booking, in accordance with the GDPR. It is never passed on to third parties without consent.
13. Disputes
In the event of a dispute, an amicable solution will be sought.
Failing this, the courts with territorial jurisdiction will be those within the jurisdiction of Château de La Seigne.
